Hello, friends of Boundless. You may have heard that Focus on the Family made the decision to discontinue Boundless, its award-winning ministry to young adults. After a fruitful and fun 27-year run, Boundless will officially sunset on February 5, 2026. This includes the site, show, social media channels and events. This page contains content that explains Focus\u2019 decision, what it means, and how you can say goodbye and share what Boundless has meant to you through the years.<\/p>

In 2022 I was really struggling with anxiety and depression. In the midst of this, my grandmother was admitted to hospital and things were not looking good. It felt like things were spiralling out of control and with everything going on, I was finding it very hard to maintain my faith in God. It was during this time that I came across the Boundless Show. Everyday on my lunch break I would go for a long walk and listen to an episode of the show. The Boundless Show served as a healthy distraction for me through my grandmother's hospital stay and eventual passing. It was entertaining, informative and biblically sound, and helped me to cling to my faith during that time. I have continued to listen to the show and thoroughly enjoyed it. I have loved all the topics covered and how you have approached them. The Boundless Show will always hold a special place in my heart and will be dearly missed! I am sixteen years old so am almost at the target age of this blog. I just discovered it and found some really good content especially about singleness and dating. It's so sad that they are sunsetting this website as I am certain that the younger side of Generation Z would truly benefit from it as a helpful resource for marriage, dating, and singleness. Thank you Focus on the Family, Lisa Anderson, and the other hosts of Boundless for such a great ministry. I began listening to Focus on the Family in 1995, shortly after finishing college. I knew I wanted to be married and have kids. So I wanted to be better prepared. Such a blessing you have been. I didn\u2019t anticipate reaching 55 years old and never being married or having kids. But Gods' plans are not always our plans. Anyway, Unfortunately for me, I didn\u2019t find the Boundless show until I was already 40 years old. But it has definitely been a blessing to me. I was just eating breakfast and - out of nowhere - I suddenly remembered Boundless and Lisa, and felt the urge to find out where they are now. I had consumed the wonderful resources on a daily basis throughout 2006 until 2011, when I got married, and was wondering if it would still be available for my children when they need it. So I was pleasantly surprised to see the website and podcast, and then very disappointed to see the news of it's discontinuation. What a rollercoaster! \r\nBoundless was seminal in my spiritual development during a time I most needed that growth. God used it to bless, shape, and disciple me in ways even I can't fully appreciate. Thank you for your faithful work for all those Boundless years. As an elementary school kid in Colorado Springs, my identity was one of loneliness, fear, and anger. I hated it and desperately searched for something more: for peace, life, and joy. In His grace, God led me to Christian radio, where I discovered "Life on the Edge Live" with Steve and Susie. Their preaching of Jesus as the way, the truth, and the light was water in a desert and planted a seed that would stay with me for years.\r\n\r\nYears later, after a season of wandering, a friend on my university campus reintroduced me to that very same Jesus. I agreed with his diagnosis of my condition and I believed in His world-shattering sacrifice and resurrection, and my identity was fundamentally changed. Suddenly, I could no longer consume the media I once did. I needed something to listen to so I turned to Christian podcasts. In His mercy, God connected me to Boundless, which met me exactly where I was as a young adult.\r\n\r\nBoundless wasn't just a podcast for the gym, it became a lifeline and has been so important to my own maturing process. Its message of real-life application of faith has directly impacted my walk with Christ. I am incredibly grateful to the entire cast, crew, and guests. John and Georgia have felt like friends from a distance each week. Thank you for your insights, vulnerability, and humor. And Lisa, like a rock, has been an uncompromising preacher of the good news and what it means to live as a Christian in today\u2019s world.\r\n\r\nI know the end of Boundless must be difficult and maybe even scary, but please know that for so many of us, your work was powerfully multiplied to point to and glorify the Light of the World. Just this morning, I was at a loss about how to prepare discipleship materials for my local teens\u2019 group in church, and it led me to reflect on my own journey as a teenager and the influences I had at the time.\r\n\r\nI had just turned 16 in 2011, and it was my first year of university (I grew up and lived in Nigeria until four years ago). For the first time, I had access to my own smartphone and mobile internet. I stumbled upon Boundless through the Focus on the Family website after reading one of their novels. I was curious about everything at the time!\r\n\r\nI remember my roommates in university wondering about my near\u2011obsession with Boundless\u2014they even got to know about it through me (haha). I would get back from classes in the evening and just read. I even dreamed of writing articles like the ones I found there. Names became familiar to me\u2014Lisa Anderson, the Watters, Suzanne Hadley, and others who came and went over the years.\r\n\r\nFinding Boundless changed my entire life. I scoured the articles and followed the content for years. It shaped so much of who I am today, and I\u2019m grateful I found the site when I did, rather than something else. Even though American culture differed from mine, I found so much truth in the fact that our shared Christian values bound us together across distance.\r\nIt\u2019s really sad to hear that Boundless has come to an end. I know that many people will still be able to return to the podcasts and articles and find them relevant, no matter when they were created.\r\n\r\nThis is just to say: thank you, Lisa (and the entire team). So sorry to hear Boundless is to be discontinued. The program has been a highlight of our Saturdays. My daughter and I both have found the content interesting and helpful. It fills a niche that is not specifically addressed by many others and is very needful these days for both the young adults and their parents. I have been reading Boundless articles for the past 3 years or so, and am grateful for the lessons it has not only taught on for singleness; dating; adulthood, but also how it encourages me to seek and obey the Lord in these areas. While I'm sad there will be no new articles, I'm reminded by Ecclesiastes 3:1 & 2 Timothy 4:2. I can't believe boundless is ending. I found it in graduate school almost 10 years ago and have listened to so many podcasts and read so many articles that have encouraged my faith, challenged my perspectives, and truly helped me navigate the few dating experiences I allowed myself to have. My husband and I have a better marriage because of how the ministry of Boundless helped me ask critical questions and view things in the correct light. Lisa's faithfulness and hope for marriage helped me to stay hopeful for myself. I'm devastated that this ministry is ending and am grateful for all who invested in it for the benefit of all of us young adults. The Lord bless you! Boundless is such a gift to me! It took away some of the isolation of being a Christian single adult and gave me community. Thank you! I am especially grateful for 2 things. First, I don't remember the podcast episode, but I had just started interacting intentionally with a guy (who is now my husband), and I just was having fears because putting yourself out there is scary. Then I heard this particular podcast and it addressed some of my fears and gave me courage and reminded me that others have walked similar roads. Second, I read The Girls Guide to Marrying Well found that to be practical and helpful. I had been looking for Mr. Amazing, but that guide reminds us to look for the hardworking, quiet guy in the next cubicle. I potentially could have passed him up and I'm so glad I didn't. I am a 68-year young single woman who enjoyed reading Boundless and often would forward to my 22-year-old niece when she turned 18 through college. I will send this last issue to her.\r\nThe articles I had the opportunity to read blessed me. I thank God for the years that this online magazine was available! Thank you, Boundless, for thoughtful articles on real questions and concerns of a 21st century Christian. I'd often type in boundless.org and use the search function to look up a specific topic or phrase I was wrestling with at the moment. It was almost always guaranteed I'd find a dozen or more articles from a range of authors to help. Sometimes I needed guidance on something under "Adulthood," other times under "Faith," or "Relationships," but the nuance of each article meant a topic could be approached again and again. I have articles saved to my bookmarks across multiple laptops because I've gone through several over the duration of Boundless.org's ministry in my life! It goes without saying that quite a few posts have been read and reread, and shared as needed. I'm glad that the library --including podcast episodes-- will remain accessible as the content is indeed, "evergreen." I'm so saddened to hear that the Boundless Show is no longer going to produce new shows. \r\n I've been listening to this show for several years, and although I'm not in the typical age demographic that this show was designed for, as a senior citizen, I love this show, and have learned so much. Hi! I\u2019ve been listening to Boundless for a long time and I\u2019m so sad to hear that its ministry will be ending. Boundless was a blessing to me in my years as a young adult living in the US and I enjoyed listening to it even after marriage as Lisa and the others felt like long-distance friends in a way.
